Value in Adoption

Galatians 3:23-4:7 Believers get to enjoy the privilege of being God’s sons or daughters. Believers have the rights and privileges of children, with the ability to cry out to Him knowing we are no longer slaves to the law.

Why the Law

Galatians 3:15-22 The Law does not provide or produce justification, righteousness, the Spirit, spiritual growth or maturity, miracles in your life, blessings, or inheritance. The law was added because of transgression. The promises of Abraham are given to those who have faith in Jesus.

Live By Faith

Galatians 3:6-14 The Law was never intended to bring about salvation. The Law was designed to show us that we deserve a curse. God calls us to have faith in Him because He knows the law does not produce godliness; only God produces godliness.

Life in the Spirit

Galatians 2:20; 3:1-5 It would be sad to have been saved by Jesus’ work, but then try to add some requirement for salvation to what He has done. As a believer has been justified by faith alone in Jesus alone, so he is to live out his life in Christ by relying on the work of Christ within him.

Grace Is Found in Jesus

Galatians 2:15-21 It is only by faith in the Lord Jesus Christ that anyone can be justified. The Old Testament has shown that God has provided atonement through a blood sacrifice, but the Law was never intended to declare anyone right before God. Everything points to Jesus and His work on the cross that allows a person to be declared righteous with Jesus’ righteousness.
